Transcarpathian journalists will have the opportunity to attend a professional discussion

The Office of the OSCE Project Coordinator in Ukraine (Media Division) within the project "Development of journalism in Ukraine with due regard to the coverage of conflicts" (supported by the British Embassy in Ukraine) invites to a regional discussion with journalists, local authorities and local non-government organizations on the topic of ethical coverage of the conflict by Ukrainian media. Particular attention will be paid to the problem of internally displaced persons, ATO soldiers and their families, and unethical coverage of the problems of the population living in the gray areas. The discussion will take place inUzhgorod on 11.03.2016, the beginning is at 10.30 at Uzhgorod, Hotel "Praha", Verkhovyns'ka st., 38.


10:30 - 11:00 - Registration of participants. Welcome coffee.

11:00 - 13:00 - Review of local problems. The interaction between the media-government-NGOs to address them. Moderator Tetyana Kotyuzhynska, Secretary of the Journalism Ethics Committee.

13:00 - 13:45 - Lunch

13:45 - 15:45 - The role of local media in establishing dialogue between all parties. Moderator Yuriy Lukanov, Chairman of the IMTUU.

15:45 - 16:00 - Results of the discussions. Coffee break.

 Following discussions in eight regions in the form of roundtable, recommendations will be developed that will become the basis for guidelines fo media workers on responsible coverage
