Transcarpathian deputies agreed to take care of historical monument
Tile is falling off Uzhgorod castle, but the deputies promise to try to find money for its restoration.The head of the Transcarpathian Regional Local History Museum Vasyl Sheba appealed to the regional deputy Denys Man asking to resolve the issue of the roof emergency state.
"Without urgent repairs in the near future, we will have to close some of the expositions in the museum. There is a design and estimate documentation, which includes the cost of the repair and restoration work at the prices existing in 2008 amounting to 8 million hryvnia. Please appeal to the deputies of the Regional Council to provide the museum with effective assistance in solving this problem," - the appeal of the deputy of the Transcarpathian Regional Council states.
Denys Man in turn suggested to establish a commission, which will give the professional conclusion regarding the necessary repairs in Uzhgorod castle. "This is one of the tourist highlights of Uzhgorod. And if we do not pay attention to it and do not begin to seriously plan the work of the museum, we will soon lose this incredible monument. I have suggested the deputies to form a commission of experts who will determine what work it is necessary to be performed and give their suggestions. The project estimates regarding the repairs should be revised anyway. The most important thing is to take immediate action to repair the roof" - deputy of Transcarpathian Regional Council Denys Man told told the reporter of Uzhgorod.in.
Recall that at the today's session of the Regional Council, the head of the department Denys Man suggested to establish a commission to respond to the museum staff's appeal, the regional deputies supported the proposition with 55 votes.
