Transcarpathian border guard was “bought” for $ 500 and agreed to carry amber to Romania

A junior inspector of one of the departments of the Mukachevo Detachment was caught on a bribe of $ 500. In addition, another inspector, who is suspected of complicity, has been suspended from duty. The inspector received the bribe for assistance in transportation of amber to Romania, the official website of the State Border Guard Service dpsu.gov.ua informs.

The detention took place by the joint efforts of officers of the internal security of the State Border Guard Service and the staff of the Security Service of Ukraine Office and the Military Prosecutor’s Office of Uzhgorod garrison. The offender was detained in Teresva in Tyachiv district.

30 km from the border, law enforcement officers found two plastic bags with 10 kilograms of amber. They were seized by officers of the Security Service for examination. Both suspects were detained.
