Tomorrow, "Uzhgorod" airport will resume its work

The State Aviation Service of Ukraine resumes the validity of the aviation safety certificate of the International Airport "Uzhgorod" starting tomorrow (00.00, 3rd of March). The decision was adopted today by the Commission for Certification, Registration of Airfields and Determination of Runway Operability. On Tuesday, a special commission chaired by the head of the State Aviation Service Eduard Demin inspected the progress of the elimination of gross violations in the airport and then met with the head of the Regional State Administration Hennadiy Moskal and the Chairman of the Regional Council Mykhailo Rivis.

- The work at the airport is underway even on weekends, the Commission is satisfied with it, so air service in Transcarpathia has actually been resumed, - the head of the Regional State Administration Hennadiy Moskal says. - Now we are negotiating with airlines to resume flights "Uzhgorod - Kyiv - Uzhgorod". The exact date of the first flight will be announced later.
