The 77th anniversary of the Carpathian Ukraine was celebrated in Uzhgorod
Today marks the 77th anniversary of the proclamation of independence of Carpathian Ukraine. To celebrate this date, leaders of the region - Mykhailo Rivis and Hennadiy Moskal - laid roses at the monument to the Hero of Ukraine, President of Carpathian Ukraine Augustin Voloshin.
The event was also attended by the Mayor of Uzhgorod, heads of the prosecution, customs, law enforcement and regulatory authorities, members of the public.
The celebration of the 77th anniversary will traditionally continue at the Krasne Pole near Khust. A rally-requiem for the Carpathian Sich members killed in 1939 will be held there.
