"Happy Easter." Regional Philharmonic invites!
While parishioners of the Eastern rite are observing Lent, the Roman Catholic community of the region is preparing to celebrate Easter. The chamber instrumental ensemble "Hungarian Melodies" - one of the oldest collectives of the Transcarpathian Regional Philharmonic - is also in anticipation of this grand holiday. Its heyday was in the 1970s of the last century under the direction of Transcarpathian composer, Honored Artist of Ukraine Istvan Marton. Original works and arrangements of folk melodies by the unsurpassed master still constitute a significant part of the repertoire. His work is primarily aimed at popularizing music of Hungarian composers and local Hungarian folklore. And it has become a tradition for the ensemble to prepare Easter concerts for their fans and guests of the regional center.
So, March 30, "Easter mood" on the stage of the Transcarpathian Regional Philharmonic will be created by the chamber instrumental ensemble "Hungarian Melodies" (MAGYAR MELÓDIÁK). Soloist of the Transcarpathian Regional Philharmonic Katerina Isak (organ), winners of international competitions Miroslava Shvakh-Pekar (soprano), Diana Havata (cello) and winner of the P. Virsky Choreographic Competition Hungarian folk dance ensemble "Sonyakh" of Uzhgorod College of Culture and Arts (manager - Honored Worker of Culture of Ukraine Mykhailo Shyutiv) will also perform. The program includes solemn Easter melodies, Hungarian, Slovak, Jewish, Ukrainian folk songs and dances, arias from operettas. And for the first time, soloists of the ensemble Anika Nagy and Anzhelika Gerber, in addition to their usual repertoire, will also perform some pop music. The director of the ensemble is Anatoly Shtefko. Host - Kristina Molnar. The concert starts at 18.30.
