Hustlers stole UAH 1.7 million on the construction of a hospice in Vynogradiv

The State Financial Inspectorate finished the audit of the construction of the hospice in Vynogradiv which caused international scandal last year. The audit revealed direct theft of 132,000,677 UAH during the construction of the hospice, and damage due to abuse at almost 721,000 UAH, the PRESS-ODA informs.

A criminal proceeding over this fact has been opened. The head of the RSA Hennadiy Moskal promises to do everything to have perpetrators punished according to the law.

Recall that in 2012, the European Commission under a special program allocated its grant funds (a total of 739,441 euros) to build the first hospice in Transcarpathia, which after several deadline postponements was supposed to be put into operation by December 25, 2015. Funds from the district budget were also allocated for the arrangement of a hospice at the former military base in Vynogradiv, but the building still was not completed in time. Moreover, the commission of the District Council found out that there had been financial fraud during the construction. Now the facts of abuse and theft have been confirmed by the State Financial Inspectorate.
