The Rescue Service "101" received the report of a fire in a woodworking company located on Promyslova street in Perechyn. An employee of the company reported that during the works under a shed, where lumber was stored, a loader "KOMATSU" had caught fire. The man tried to extinguish the fire by himself using a fire extinguisher, but to no avail.
Two crews of the 1st State Fire and Rescue Unit consisting of two pieces of equipment and 7 personnel members were sent at the scene. First of all, the firefighters had to localize the fire to prevent it from spreading to the timber. The fire in the machine itself was extinguished using foam. The fire destroyed the loader and damaged 3 cubic meters of boards.
The cause of the fire will be established by law enforcement authorities.
