Together with several other cities in Ukraine, including Kyiv, where honoring took place on the Maidan, Uzhgorod lit candles in honor of the deceased Transcarpathian.
Last night, as a result of the heavy artillery shelling of the site, known as the "Butivka" Mine", at least six defenders of the state lost their lives.
Although the headquarters of the ATO officially has not confirmed the losses (because they were fighters of volunteer battalions, and not "official" soldiers), there is the information about irreparable loss, and about two dozen wounded soldiers.
Among the killed fighters, there is our countryman, a native of Khust. The soldier had a call sign "Doc." He was a paramedic. Robert Masley was only 24 years old. And he was an orphan. His students and colleagues are mourning him today.
To honor our fellow countryman and all the victims, candles were lit on Teatralna Square in Uzhgorod. At the same time, the same was done in Kyiv, Kharkiv, Lviv and other cities of Ukraine.
