Player of Uzhgorod “Karpaty” won golden at the European Powerlifting Championship while being on vacation

Player of Karpaty Iryna Kompaniets won another award for her individual collection, the karpatnews informs. Each of the players of Uzhgorod handball team "Karpaty" are spending their summer vacation in their own way: some take an opportunity to soak up on the beach under the scorching sun, others got a job to satisfy their financial needs during the holidays, and some decided to try themselves in new sports for fun. Recently, the European Powerlifting Championship took place in Hungary, and a player of Karpaty Iryna Kompaniets took part in it. She says that decision to take part in the competition was spontaneous, she had not planned it in advance, but both her mother and friends from the sports hall "Olymp" supported her. The competition, according to the athlete, became a great experience for her because it is a radically different sport where everybody is on their own.

She understood that she could count only on herself, although the support and the atmosphere was great. Iryna lifted 250 kg in total and won the gold award
