On Saturday, June 11, an interesting and original holiday took place in Khust district. For the third time, the best mowers were determined in the picturesque village of Velyatino. The festival of mowers is a tribute to the work of peasants and a vibrant cheerful event.
Eleven participants, including one woman, took part in the competition. Olena Popovich participates in the mowing competition for the third time. The only female participant was awarded with an individual prize, and she ranked fourth in the overall competition.
During the festival, which is held in Velyatino for the third time, on the initiative of the village head Zhanna Mykytyuk, they mowed almost one hectare. Mrs. Zhanna also took a scythe, however she admitted that she was not ready to compete with the participants of the mowing championship. And the winner in tough competition was Ivan Petrash.
The holiday culminated in a lively concert featuring the band "Lisorub" from Yasinya in Rakhiv district and famous groups "Rock H" and "Trystavisim." Velyatino was celebrating to a quality music with dancing well into the night.
