On July 1, the Coordination Group of the Antiterrorist Center at the Office of the Security Service of Ukraine in Transcarpathian region conducted planned tactical special training. It also involved the regional units of the National Police, the National Guard, the State Border Guard Service, the State Emergencies Service and representatives of the government.
The training took place in conditions close to real. According to the script, terrorists seized hostages in Uzhgorod city council building, threatened to kill them and blow up public buildings.
After having taken comprehensive measures to prevent threats to life and health of people, commanders of the ATC operations staff decided to raid the City Hall. Thanks to the coordinated efforts of all agencies involved in the raid, the terrorists were neutralized, the hostage were released.
During the anti-terrorist training, its participants tested their skills and resources to counter possible terrorist threats, worked out an algorithm of joint actions in extreme conditions, the press center of the Security Service of Ukraine informed.
