Rudansky, Blagoev, Shakhtariv, Kanalna, Radishchev, Bolotynska, Sydoryak, Glinka streets in Uzhgorod are currently being repaired. Also, repairs of intrablock territories at Hrushevsky st., 31, 37, Tlekhas st., 74-76, Pankevych st., 77, 79, 81 are planned.
In total, this year it is planned to carry out routine repairs on 77 Uzhgorod streets, major repairs of pavement on 24 streets, pavement of 8 sidewalks with cobblestone, and repairs of 25 intrablock territories, the press service of Uzhgorod city council informs.
As you know, significant developments in urban infrastructure (not only in Uzhgorod) were made possible thanks to additional revenues to local budgets due to changes in tax legislation. An attempt to re-allocate the funds was stopped on July 6th by the parliamentary Budget Committee, supporting the position of the Association of Cities of Ukraine and rejecting three bills aimed at redistribution of revenues from excise duty in favor of regional budgets.
