Given the intensification of illegal activities related to illegal transportation of tobacco products across the state border, and recently also smuggling of illegal migrants across the border, the State Border Guard Service has taken a number of measures to increase capabilities in combating these negative phenomena.
To stabilize the situation and to strengthen the measures to detect illegal groups, reserves of the border guard agency have arrived to the Mukachevo Detachment to strengthen the most vulnerable sections of the border. These mobile teams are provided with vehicles and special devices that allow to effectively perform tasks for combating illegal activities at the border.
The measures to combat illegal migration and smuggling of tobacco will be conducted in close cooperation with border guards of Hungary and Romania.
Carrying out such joint activities will enhance the fight against illegal activities at the border and bring our country closer to European standards of border protection.
