At the presentation of the regional prosecutor Volodymyr Havryliuk, the Prosecutor General of Ukraine called the law enforcement in the region "the sleepy kingdom".
He told that he had flown over the mountains in a helicopter to check the scale of deforestration. "I am ashamed for your region. This is ethnocide. They are cutting down century-old trees."
Yuriy Lutsenko asked district prosecutors whether they are aware of what is going on and about the number of initiated proceedings.
