Lutsenko gave Transcarpathian law enforcement and public activists time until September

In September, the Prosecutor General promised to return to Transcarpathia to see the "caught fish".

He urged regional law enforcement agencies to catch the "big fish" while introducing the new prosecutor. It is Volodymyr Havryliuk. But first, Yuriy Lutsenko called the regional prosecutor’s office and law enforcement in general the "sleepy kingdom" and reprimanded them for the situation with the unauthorized logging.

He gave the prosecutor’s office time to September to deal with the issue. The same goes for public activists who want to control the prosecutor’s office and law enforcement industry. He said that the Public Council at the prosecutor’s office would be composed of those activists, who would prove their effectiveness in controlling the prosecution not with loudest shouts or, as he said, "specifically organized meetings", but with useful information.

Overall, the Prosecutor General identified such priorities and vectors in fighting corruption – wood, land, smuggling of excisable goods, budget money and the exposure of "bureaucratic criminal groups" – according to Lutsenko, big thefts are committed not by individuals, but systematically. Those are that "big fish" which he wants to see caught already in September.
