Hungarian experts are monitoring the traffic in Mukachevo – the development of traffic scheme is ongoing

Experts from Hungary continue to develop traffic management scheme in Mukachevo. Today, they will analyze the intensity of traffic at intersections of the city. Also, they plan to explore the possibility of the creation of parking lots in the central part.

Today, at the city council, there was the meeting of the Mayor Andriy Baloha with Horvath Friddyesh, a Hungarian road engineer, an expert on traffic planning and management. The meeting was also attended by the First Deputy Mayor Rostislav Fediv, Deputy Mayor Eduard Barchiy, deputy of the Regional Council Ernest Nuser.

The experts state: there are problems with parking in the city. There are also problems with the traffic of city buses. According to the Hungarians, they should carry more passengers, but the existing buses have low capacity and cause congestions during rush hours. Mr. Horvath notes that in recent years the number of vehicles in the city has increased significantly. So, the traffic pattern should be developed with the future in mind.
