“Mykola Mushynka: a portrait against a background of a day” – international conference tomorrow

On 25-26 February, the Transcarpathian Art Institute will hold the International scientific and practical conference dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the renown artist.

Mykola Mushynka is a famous folklorist and scholar of Ukraine, art and literature, bibliographer, PhD, the member of the International commission on researching the national culture of the Carpathians and the Balkans, the member of the Shevchenko Scientific Society, the head of the Association of Ukrainians in Slovakia, the foreign academician of The National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.

The problem of studying the artistic heritage of Mykola Mushynka will be discussed by scientists and representatives of culture and art from different regions of Ukraine and neighbouring countries. They will talk about the introduction into scientific circulation and promotion of the works of the artist in Ukraine and abroad. In addition, the participants will consider the actual questions of the organisation of scientific research in cultural sciences and art, the preservation of cultural monuments etc.

Opening Ceremony will take place at 11.00.
