Beware! Cheaters!

Scammers cheated an Uzhgorod resident out of almost 75,000 UAH.

A 61-year-old local resident appealed to law enforcement officers. The woman said that she had been cheated.

As it turned out, an unknown man had phoned her and said that her son had problems because of carrying drugs. To settle the case, she had to pay money. Not wasting any time, the mother found about 75,000 UAH and transferred it to the specified account. Only later, she found out that at that time her son was in the sports school.

Law enforcement officers are searching for the scammers.

– Dear citizens! To avoid becoming a victim of scammers, be careful and calm. If you received a call with similar messages and request for money, call your relatives or friends (who are claimed to be in a dangerous situation) to see if they are all right. And be sure to immediately report such cases to the police.

Trust in law enforcement, not swindlers!
