20 years in paintings – an encore by the Transcarpathian artists
The collection, representing the development of the regional painting of the last 20 years, was presented in the foyer of the RSA today. These are the works for which their authors had been awarded the highest regional award in art, the J.Bokshai and A.Erdeli prize.
There were different exhibits: the works of the giants: Vasyl Habda, Anton Shepa, Yuriy Hertsa, Volodymyr Mykyta, Viacheslav Pryhodko and others; the works of the younger artistic generation: Vasyl Svaliavchyk, Anton Kovach, Volodymyr Pavlyshyn, Olexandr Hromovyi, Vladyslav Habda, Borys Kuzma.
Borys Kuzma noted that these are just some of the laureates' works. They plan to publish the whole collection of the best works of fine and decorative art in the form of a catalogue soon. " The publication requires additional funds. We hope they will be allocated at the next session of the state administration. Perhaps, this exhibition will motivate the making of the right decision, – says Borys Kuzma. – However, its main aim is to represent a specific collection to the workers and visitors of the building. Its goal is also the renovation of the tradition of organising artistic events among these walls as it was done in the 30's of the last century."
Moreover, the head of the regional organisation of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine announced that several interesting events are planned in the region in the framework of the 70th jubilee, celebrated this year.
Today's exhibition will last until the middle of March.
