The Philharmonic invites music fans to the “Christmas Divertissement”

On December 20, the Chamber Orchestra of the Transcarpathian Regional Philharmonic Society invites all music lovers to the "Christmas Divertissement".

The genre of divertissement was used in 17-18 centuries as part of a drama (sometimes opera or ballet) consisting of singing, dancing, comic skits, parodies and other entertainment routines.

Later, the divertissement evolved into a separate light instrumental piece. With its dance rhythms, it was close to serenade, nocturne and eventually has become a genre of salon music, similar to bouillabaisse.

The Chamber Orchestra of the Transcarpathian Regional Philharmonic will perform a joyous medley of works by Bach, Locatelli, Vivaldi, and Mozart. The director – Honored Artist of Ukraine Vladyslav Yurosh. The presenter – Katerina KERECHANYN. Solo performers – Olena Yurosh (piano) and Taras Popovich (flute).

The concert starts at 18.30.

Christmas is a special holiday that fills people’s hearts with warmth and compassion. Let these the holidays will be full of light, peace and spiritual elevation!
