Transcarpathian foresters celebrate Independence Day (PHOTOS)

The events dedicated to the Independence Day of Ukraine are taking place in the regional center of Transcarpathia. At sunrise, they started with a common prayer for peace in Ukraine. The prayer was performed in eight languages. The participants performed a series of spiritual songs and, of course, the National Anthem. For the first time, children were singing too. After that, the celebrations continued on the main square of region.

Among the participants, who attended this grand holiday, there were MPs, government and the regional state administration officials, heads of regional departments and services, workers of the forest industry of Transcarpathia, law enforcement officials, representatives of public and religious organizations, creative unions, scientists, journalists and ordinary citizens.  This year, the celebration of the Independence Day and the Day of the State Flag of Ukraine for the Transcarpathians is illuminated with a recently celebrated event - the 70th anniversary of the reunification of the Transcarpathia with the Mother Ukraine.
