Today, at 5.00 in the morning, some people began to cut down tall spruce trees near the Regional Music and Drama Theater on Tolstoy street, the "Pro Zahid" informs. Currently, 6 trees have been cut down in two green zones. All of them, judging from the look of the stumps, were quite healthy. The workers, who are loading the wood into a truck, will not tell who they are working for.
Instead, workers of the Drama Theatre say that it is the work of the developer, who got this piece of land back in 2009 during Serhiy Ratushnyak’s term as the mayor. Then, the area near the Drama Theater was divided into three lots and sold. Apparently, the developer commenced works on one of the lots.
Press service of the City Council promised to study and comment on the situation later.
