The event is taking place at the Synevyr pass. About 20 teams, mostly representatives of all regional forestries, take part in it. For the first time a, so to speak, public format was introduced at the competition. This time, and this is an innovation, the competition takes place not in the woods, but in a specially equipped area. The participants will be cutting mock trees – specially set up trunks. According to the head of the Regional Forest and Hunting Range Administration Valeriy Murha, this is how similar competitions take place in Europe.
The participants compete in five disciplines, including tree cutting, log sawing and clearing of trunks from twigs. They compete in team and individual competitions. The best loggers will represent Transcarpathia at the National Competition.
