In Uzhgorod National University, the 5th floor (side "A") of the dormitory №4 refurbished at the expense of funding from the Government of Hungary was solemnly opened. This is not the first facility of UzhNU renovated with direct assistance of the Hungarian government. Last week, there was the opening of the sports complex in front of the 4th dormitory, and in February of this year the 6th floor (side "A") of the same dormitory, where students, who study in Hungarian language, live, was commissioned.
As the Commissioner of the Government of Hungary Istvan Hrezha stressed in his speech, students, who study in Ukrainian language, will be living in the refurbished rooms, and this is the best proof that Hungary helps not only Hungarian community, but the whole of multi-ethnic Transcarpathia. The floor renovated according to European standards is a kind of symbol of the Ukrainian-Hungarian friendship. Similar projects with financing of the Hungarian government will be implemented in Transcarpathian region in the future.
Hennadiy Moskal, on behalf of the Regional State Administration, thanked Istvan Hrezha for Hungary's contribution to the development of Transcarpathia and on the eve of national holidays of the two countries (St. Istvan's Day and the 25th anniversary of Independence of Ukraine) give the guest a special gift - two embroidered shirts. The Commissioner of the Hungarian government put one of the shirts on and thus presented the renovated part of the dorm.
