During 2.5 hours, “mined” Uzhgorod city council considered two issues and listened to the ex-mayor

The next plenary meeting of the Uzhgorod city council continues. After the evacuation of the audience because of the reports of mining, there was another report about a possible explosion. It did not cause any reaction, the meeting started and two budget issues were considered. The current city estimates, as well as programs of economic and social development were amended.

In particular, they made provisions for co-financing of the establishment of a rehabilitation center for combatants. After that, they listened to the report of the City Prosecutor. Then, they started adopting new regulations of the City Council. Activists have serious complaints about it, because the new regulations contain significant restrictions on citizens’ participation in the meetings, work of journalists and also controversies regarding the procedure for convening of sessions.

The Mayor Andriyiv invited his colleague – former Mayor Emil Landovsky – for the "artillery barrage". According to the former mayor, there should be order at meetings.

Then, due to the fact that there are several draft decisions with remarks, the deputies asked for a break. One of high-profile matters to be considered at this meeting is, for example, the decision on the Public Council. They also plan to distribute land and allow the privatization of several public facilities. The meeting is significantly delayed. As of 12.40, the deputies have not come back from the break.
