Transcarpathia increased export to the EU by 14%

In 2014, Transcarpathian region increased its exports to the EU by 14.2%, while imports from these countries fell by 9.4%. 

This is primarily due to trade liberalization after the signing of the EU Association.

As of November 1, 2014, the total share of EU countries in the region's general trade turnover is 61.3%.

Thus, the share of exports to the EU has increased to 84.2% and the share of imports - 43.4% of the total value of imported goods in the region. 

The major trade partners of the region are Hungary, Czech Republic, Austria, Italy and Slovakia.
