Uzhgorod celebrated the Day of Unity of Ukraine with a human chain. This event was held with the participation of several public organizations.

At 12.00, activists gathered on Teatralna Square. They paid tribute to those who were killed on the Maidan and in the ATO. Then, they unfurled a giant blue and yellow flag over the pedestrian bridge and marched along Kyivska embankmenat to the square in front of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration.

One of the organizers, member of the youth wing of the UDAR Ladislav Pompel said that the human chain today, more than ever, was symbolizing unity of Uzhgorod residents in a difficult time for the country.

Today, in Uzhgorod, the community under the 400-meter-long yellow and blue banner, regardless of political views and civic initiatives, in the rain with a proud spirit performed the anthem of Ukraine and paid tribute to the victims in the ATO zone and during the events on the Maidan. "Sadly, some organizations still did not listen to our appeals and came with party symbols, organizers say. - However, they just showed their desire to once again remind of themselves. We firmly declare that there is no separatism in Transcarpathia. Transcarpathia is Ukraine!" - Denys Man says.
