Slovak Eustream may increase gas supplies to Ukraine

Gas transmission system operator in Slovakia - the Eustream company began the Open Season procedure, during which they will be accepting applications for the use of additional capacity of the "Vojany-Uzhgorod" pipeline.

The additional amount will be 8.5 million cubic meters of gas per day, according to the statement on the website of the company

According to the report, the additional capacity of gas supplies from Slovakia appeared due to technical measures taken by Ukraine.

This additional capacity will be available from March 1, 2015. Applications for use of additional capacity of the "Vojany-Uzhgorod" pipeline are accepted until February 5.

Currently, the average daily gas supplies from Slovakia are about 31 million cubic meters.

Recall that Polish gas transmission system operator - the "Gaz-System SA" company suspended natural gas supplies to Ukraine on January 1 2015.
