Officially about the shootout in Storozhnytsia

In Transcarpathia, police officers arrested criminals who were trying to rob a private home, using physical violence to its inhabitants. 

Thus, the central monitoring station of the State Protection Service Office in Uzhgorod, Transcarpathian region received the alarm signal from the protected object.

According to the police, they noticed men in dark clothing and masks on their heads, who were moving in the yard of the protected house.

- Examining the area around the building, we saw two young men holding items similar to a gun, a shocker and a stick. At the request to stop misconduct, the unknown men began to resist - an officer of the Transcarpathian regional police said.

Thus, having made several shots in the direction of the police, the attackers began to flee.

In turn, law enforcement officers, according to the requirements of Art. 15 of the Law of Ukraine "On the Police" had to use firearm.

In the shootout, the offenders were wounded in the abdomen and legs and were detained.

Examining the surrounding area and the house, the police officers found a young man with his hands tied and with visible injuries.

The man said that there were three attackers, one of whom stayed in the street, and the other two tried to take valuables using physical violence to the owners.

The victim was taken to hospital in Uzhgorod.

The investigative team of Uzhgorod District Police arrived at the scene. While examining the territory, the detectives found some sleeves. Further examination and investigation activities to identify the third offender are being taken.
