January 25, officers of Mukachevo border guard detachment in the section of the "Kosyno" border service division, in cooperation with representatives of the Department "K" of the Security Service of Ukraine Office in Transcarpathian region, detained three citizens of Ukraine (Transcarpathian region residents) in three vehicles while attempting to illegally smuggle 7 citizens of Syria across the state border of Ukraine.
The three citizens of Ukraine face criminal penalties, and citizens of Syria – deportation from the country.
