Last night, around 03.20, an unknown person reported to the police about a bomb in a night disco club in Mukachevo. Officers of the city police, explosive experts and dog handlers with dogs immediately arrived at the scene. Fortunately, the information was not confirmed. The "joker" is wanted by the police.About 30 people and the club personnel, who were in the nightclub at the time of notification, were evacuated. Officers of the police bomb squad and dog handlers with dogs conducted a thorough inspection of the two-storey building, but found no trace of explosives or other dangerous items.About 20 city police officers were ensuring public order around the premises of the club. In less than one hour, the work of the establishment was resumed. The incident was registered in the Unified register of pre-trial investigations under Part 1 of Art.259 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Knowingly false report of a threat to the safety of citizens, destruction of or damage to items of property). Currently, the police are searching for the "joker", the pretrial investigation continues. Recall that a knowingly false report of bombing is punishable by imprisonment for up to 5 years.
