In Uzhgorod district, a school was set on fire (PHOTO)
In the morning of January 30, there was a fire in the territory of the boarding school in the village of Chertezh in Uzhgorod district. The fire in three offices was noticed by a cafeteria worker who had come to work. At 6:08 she called 101 and called firefighters.
Firefighters of the 14th and 16th state fire and rescue units were sent at the scene. At 6:40, officers of the State Emergencies Service localized the fire, and at 7:15 - completely eliminated the fire.
The cause of the fire is currently being established by law enforcement officers. One of the versions is arson. Flames engulfed three rooms: the principal's office, the teachers' room and the methodical room.
The fire damaged office equipment, furniture, benches, windows and doors in the teachers' room and the methodical classroom. The principal's office was affected less, as the flames there were extinguished immediately. The damages caused are being established.
