In Transcarpathia, a drunk man stabbed his guest

At midnight, a woman reported to Rakhiv district police department that on the stairs of an apartment building she had found an unknown unconscious man with injuries.
 
The investigative team arrived at the said address. Having arrived at the scene, the police found the corpse of a 33-year-old resident of Rakhiv in the hallway of one of the apartment building. 
 
On the body of the deceased, there were penetrating stab and cut wounds on the face, neck and chest.
 
At the time of arrival of law enforcement officers, there were two citizens in the apartment – the victim’s girlfriend and the man who lived at that address. The above citizens were in a state of extreme intoxication.
 
– During the questioning of the 47-year-old man, who was in the apartment, it was found out that all three of them were consuming alcohol in the apartment during the day, and about 23.00, a quarrel arose between him and the victim, during which the man grabbed a kitchen knife and repeatedly struck his friend, – the head of Rakhiv district police department Ludwig Fai said.
 
At present, the suspect is arrested, the criminal proceeding under Part 1 of Art.115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Murder) has been initiated. The man faces imprisonment for a term of seven to fifteen years. A series of examinations and measures to establish all the circumstances of the murder are being conducted.
