In Transcarpathia, 20 thousand people have been employed
According to the experts of the regional employment service, there is a significant imbalance between the demand for labor and its supply on the labor market of Transcarpathia.
Thus, last year, on average in the region, the rate was 10 unemployed people per vacancy.
In terms of professional groups, the highest demand was recorded for skilled workers (44.4% of all jobs); maintenance, operation and control of process equipment, assembly of equipment and machinery (15.1%); workers in trade and services (13.6%), while 20.5% of jobseekers among the registered unemployed are people without a profession or those that have occupied positions that do not require special training.
Meanwhile, last year, in the region there was a 2.8% increase in the number of unemployed persons, employed under the referrals of the Public Employment Service (from 10.8 thousand persons in January-November 2013 to 11.1 thousand persons in the same period in 2014). Also, in one third of employment centers in the region, there was the decrease in employment rate against the same period in the last year.
Specifically, in Svalyava district employment center - by 16.7%, in Vynogradiv - by 10.5%, and in Volovets DEC - by 9.3%, the regional employment center informed. The level of enployment of unemployed persons in January-November 2014 increased compared to the same period in 2013 by 5.8 percentage points and reached 37.1%. As a result, the average length of job search in the region reduced by 1.4 times - from 143 days in January-November 2013 to 101 day in 2014. The reduction of this figure was recorded in all employment centers. The lowest average length of job search was in Mizhhirya employment center - 52 days, the highest one was in Tyachiv DEC - 134 days.
In general, with the help of employment centers in Transcarpathian region,
almost 20 thousand countrymen were employed in 2014. In particular, 4000 unemployed received vocational training, 380 people received benefits for the business organization. At the end of the year, the number of registered unemployed in Transcarpathia was almost 10 thousand people, of whom more than 7500 were receiving unemployment benefits. Among the registered unemployed persons, most are women and young people under 35.
