Hungary promises to grant aid for farmers of Transcarpathia
On January 8, the Hungarian Deputy Secretary of State for Foreign Relations and the Carpathian Basin Katalin Toth visited Transcarpathia - the Hungarian government portal informed.
In particular, in Beregovo, she met with representatives of the Charity Foundation Pro Agricultura Carpatica and the management of the Transcarpathian Hungarian Institute. They discussed the strategy of support for agriculture and farming among Transcarpathian Hungarians.
The Foundation presented its plans that could help many people living in rural areas to achieve success. According to the head of the Institute Ildyka Oros, there is an opportunity to train those people.
Katalin Toth met with the bishop of the Transcarpathian Reformed Church Sandor Zan Fabian, who also spoke about the problems of Transcarpathian farmers. They discussed the possibility of providing grant support for them from Hungary.
