Beregovo police did not let a young man smoke some “weed”

Thanks to the vigilance of a concerned passerby, police officers managed to detain a lover of "weed" and confiscate more than 10 grams of the drug – marijuana.
 
Beregovo police station received a call from a man who refused to introduce myself and said that there was a suspicious man on the bank of the "Werke" canal in an unfinished abandoned building.
 
In order to verify the information from the passerby, the police precinct inspectors immediately arrived at the scene. There, they arrested a 20-year-old inhabitant of the district "red-handed". The young man had more than 10 grams of marijuana narcotic drug and a makeshift device for smoking.
 
As the young man explained, he was keeping marijuana for his own use.
 
The seized substance and the "bong" were sent to the forensic research center at the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs Office for examination.
 
– Investigators opened criminal proceeding over this fact under Part 1 of Art. 309 (illegal possession of drugs without intent to sell) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The pre-trial investigation continues – the acting chief of Beregovo district police department, Major Volodymyr Sakalosh said. – The fan of "weed" faces punishment in the form of restriction of liberty for up to 3 years, or imprisonment for the same term.
