After a card game and drinking, a Transcarpathian ended up in hospital and his friend - in the police station
On the holiday of St. Basil, two young residents of Irshava district in Transcarpathian region were playing cards and drinking. Suddenly, a misunderstanding arose between the men during the game. The quarrel culminated in the owner stabbing his friend with a knife in the back...
A doctor of the district hospital reported to Irshava district police department that they had admitted a 25-year-old resident of the village of Ilnytsya with stab wounds.
The investigative team immediately arrived at the scene. At the address where the victim was taken from, the police seized a kitchen knife with blood traces. In hot pursuit, the suspect of the crime was indentified.
As the police found out, the victim and the suspect had known each other for a long time, would often drink alcohol, play cards together.
In that tragic evening, the men decided to celebrate the holiday in their own way. They organized a feast and a card game. There were no signs of trouble, but after prolonged drinking, the atmosphere in the house deteriorated. A sudden quarrel over the card game arose between them. The owner felt insulted, grabbed a kitchen knife from the table and stabbed his friend in the back...
According to the head of Irshava district police Lt. Colonel Myron Chernychko, the suspect confessed to the crime. The investigator Mykhailo Merenych opened a criminal proceeding over the crime. the investigation is ongoing.
