On Monday, September 28, there was the meeting chaired by the Deputy Governor Mykhailo Rivis on preparation of Transcarpathian roads for the autumn-winter period.
The Director of the SE "Transcarpathian Oblavtodor" Ivan Nemesh informed about the measures on the maintenance of regional roads in winter period. The official said that it is planned to engage 252 vehicles and units of equipment for the work on the road network in the region in winter conditions. Currently, 171 units have been prepared, including rotary snowploughs, dozers, graders, sprinkling, salt distributors, loaders and other snow-removing equipment.
Then Mykhailo Rivis instructed the Road Service, the SE "Transcarpathian Oblavtodor", heads of districts, cities to take steps to proper preparation of the specialized equipment for the autumn-winter period and supply of necessary antiglaze materials for the maintenance of the road network by entering into corresponding agreements.
Recall that in the state budget, only UAH 67 million is provided for repair and maintenance of roads network in Transcarpathian region. During 8 months of this year, UAH 49 million was spent on road works, which is 72.4% of the yearly amount.
Given the difficult situation with the preparation of the road sector in the region for the autumn-winter period and the existing debt, the management of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration asked the Ukravtodor to resolve the issue of financing, to increase the amount of funds from the state budget for repairs and maintenance of the road network.
