Transcarpathian farmers have threshed 143,000 tons of grain

On September 22, there was a telephone conference chaired by the First Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine Yaroslav Krasnopolsky on financial security of the harvesting campaign and state support for agribusiness entities in 2015.

         The event was attended by the deputy head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Mykhailo Rivis and experts of the Department of Agricultural Development of the RSA.

"According to the operative data, as of August 21, the harvesting of early grain spikelet crops in the region is complete.  In all categories of farms, 40.8 thousand hectares has been harvested, 143.0 thousand tons of  grain has been threshed, the yield is 35.0 centners per hectare.The harvesting of late grain and leguminous crops continues. In all categories of farms, corn has been harvested on the area of ​​13.2 thousand hectares, which is 28.7% of the forecast for harvest, 58.7 thousand tons has been harvested with the yield of 44.4 centners per hectare," - the acting director of the Department of Agricultural Development of the RSA Victor Terelya reported to the officials.

He also noted that potatoes has been harvested from an area of ​​33.0 thousand. hectares, which is 96.8 percent to the harvesting area (539.6 thousand tons wit the yield of 163.5 centners / hectare). Vegetables have been harvested from an area of ​​9.7 thousand hectares, which is 79.6% of the harvesting area.     

Regarding the preparation for sowing of winter crops, according to the official, it is expected to sow in all categories of farms 34.6 hectares of winter crops, which is at the level of the previous year.  90% of winter crops is winter wheat. For the sowing of winter grain crops in the region, it is necessary to prepare 8.4 thousand tons of seeds, including 1.9 thousand tons - by agricultural producers. 

The total demand for financial resources to carry out autumn field work this year is UAH 156.5 million, including UAH 151.5 million of own funds, UAH 3.0 million of credit and within UAH 2.0-3.0 million under programs of local budgets. 


In addition, it is planned to allocate funds from the regional budget for support of agriculture business in crop production in the amount of UAH 2-3 million, in particular for the support of gardening.

After the conference call, Mykhailo Rivis instructed those present to strengthen the organizational work for the implementation of the government financial programs to reduce the cost of loans and sowing.
