As both residents and guests of the city have noticed, the Uzh river has not only become shallow, but also began to exude an unpleasant smell, particularly in the very center, near the pedestrian bridge.

The reason is sewer discharges into the river. Which, according to the municipality, "do not exist in the city."

However, because because of the low water level in the river in recent weeks, not only dirty spots on the water have become clearly visible, but also the very pipes that drain sewage into our river. What we successfully proved with photos and videos.

And here is the response. In the comment to our post in the group "Uzhgorod", the Deputy Mayor Yaroslav Shafar reported: "The discharge of fecal matter into the Uzh river has stopped. In the old sewage collector, pipes were damaged. But it is not for long. Next year, the situation could happen again."

Well, we are waiting for termination of other discharges, particularly those that are located closer to the pedestrian bridge. And others. Thus, citizens complain that similar things happen in the Bozdosh park and in other places.

Also recall: in the publication about the discharges, we asked - who will answer for pollution of the river. And we also want to ask - who will answer for lies about the sewage discharges? Hopefully, these questions will not be rhetorical...
