Policemen are looking for other "bypass" routes of smugglers

The forest road near the village of Lazeshchyna in Rakhiv district, where security forces detained the "Ural" loaded with cigarettes, has been dug up by an excavator. In several places, deep trenches were dug that cannot be overcome by vehicles.

Recall that on the night of Wednesday, September 23, officers of the Regional Department of Internal Security, having received the information on possible smuggling of large quantities of cigarettes bypassing the police checkpoint, made an ambush on a forest road leading from the point "Berkut" to the village of Lazeshchyna. They detained a military-type truck "Ural" loaded with cigarettes "Compliment" (around 235 boxes) without excise stamps, with "Duty free" labels and emblems of Lviv tobacco factory. The cigarettes were carried from Ivano-Frankivsk region to Transcarpathia for further smuggling across the border to Romania.

Now the security forces are checking for possible smuggling routes in the forests near other police checkpoints at the entrance of Transcarpathia.
