This weekend, September 12-13, for the first time, a big sporting event will be held in Mukachevo – the Cup of Ukraine in sambo among men, women and combat sambo section.
The competition will be attended by about two hundred participants from all regions of Ukraine. According to the head of the Transcarpathian regional cell of the Sambo Federation of Ukraine Oleg Tsinyk, sambo sport lately has been quite popular among children. Transcarpathia has all the conditions and possibilities to raise future champions. The Cup of Ukraine in sambo will be held in the Silver Land for the second time, last year, the best sambo fighters competed in Uzhgorod, an this year, with the assistance of the NGO "Youth Initiatives of Transcarpathia", the event will be held in Mukachevo.
"The name of our NGO speaks for itself: we support interesting initiatives of active people. In this case, it is a sports event that will have a positive impact on the physical development of children. In addition, all participants from other regions will discover a new city, so besides sports, there will also be a cultural program" – the head of the NGO "Youth Initiatives of Transcarpathia" Denis Sobol said.
The official opening of the event will be held on Saturday, at 12:00, in the Children and Youth Sports School, and on Sunday at 17:00, the names of new champions will be known.
