In Uzhgorod, a thief in the church was detained

In Uzhgorod, a resident of Perechyn district tried to rob a church in broad daylight.

The 44-year-old man illegally entered the territory of a religious building, located on Timiryazev street in the regional center of Transcarpathia, and started looking for valuables. But the offender was not aware that while he was being "busy", the police officers were already on the way.

At 11:23, the central monitoring station at the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Office in Transcarpathian region received the "Alarm" signal from the protected facility - "The Church of the Religious Community." A few minutes later, a special detention group arrived at the scene. After the inspection of the facility, they found and detained a resident of the village of Turya Bystra, who had entered the utility room of the church. As it turned out later, the man was trying to steal tools and other tangible assets.

Currently, the incident is being investigated.
