In Transcarpathia, border guards were threatened with death

Yesterday morning, at the site of the department "Kosyno" of the Mukachevo detachment, a border patrol unit detected a group of unknown persons who were moving toward the border. The response team immediately arrived there and arrested 11 people. The detainees identified themselves as citizens of Afghanistan.

Near the illegal immigrants, there were two citizens of Ukraine who, seeing border guards, began to flee and resisted during detention. To stop the offenders, border guards made a warning shot in the air. But the conflict still was not over. During the arrest, one of the Ukrainians call an unknown person and handed the phone to the chief of the response team. On the phone, the unknown man began to threaten border guards with physical harm if they do not release the detainees.

However, despite the threats, border guards of the Mukachevo Detachment brought all detainees to the border guard service station.

In addition, they found on one of the arrested citizens of Ukraine, who probably was involved in the smuggling of illegal migrants abroad, a starter pistol and two cartridges of 9 mm caliber.

The investigation into the case continues.
