Eleven illegal immigrants were detained last night by Chop border guards

Last night, Slovak and Ukrainian border guards (of the Border Guard Service department "Velyky Berezny") organized joint patrolling of the border. While patrolling, Slovak surveillance cameras captured a group of unknown persons.

The illegal migrants were moving along the state border looking for a place to quickly escape to Slovakia. Having found out that they were followed, the group divided on ethnic grounds. Four people went to Slovakia. Slovak border guards detained them. According to the detainees, they were citizens of Afghanistan. Eleven people did not dare to cross the border, they were detained by border guards of the Chop detachment. Those were eight citizens of Vietnam and three citizens of People's Republic of Bangladesh. None of them had documents.

The detention was reported to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Security Service of Ukraine and the center of secondary legal aid in Transcarpthian region.
