Car documents were found forged during border crossing
A citizen of Ukraine moved across the customs border a "LAND ROVER RANGE ROVER" with Lithuanian registration by submitting forged documents to the customs authority.
The Ukrainian tried to leave Ukraine through the customs post "Solotvyno" of the Transcarpathian customs office. For customs clearance, he chose the "green corridor". For the customs clearance, he presented a letter of authorization for the use and the registration certificate of the vehicle.
As a result of analytical and search activities, the department of risk analysis and combating customs offenses of the Transcarpathian customs office sent the request to the Lithuanian notary in order to confirm or disprove the legalization of the document presented by the citizen of Ukraine for customs clearance.
The Lithuanian notary answered that she had not issued and certified the power of attorney. In particular, the notary reported that the power of attorney in Lithuanian and Russian languages were forged.
In his explanation, the citizen of Ukraine stated that he had bought the car with Lithuanian registration license plate from a stranger on the market in one of the districts of Transcarpathian region. This citizen gave him the certificate of registration of the vehicle and the power of attorney together with the car.
These actions of the citizen of Ukraine have signs of violation of customs rules under Part 1 of Article 483 of the Customs Code of Ukraine.
Currently, the report on violation of customs rules has been made, and the car worth more than 44,000 UAH was confiscated.
