On September 28, this year, officers of Mukachevo border detachment together with representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the SFS, at the traffic police post in the village of Nyzhni Vorota in Volovets district, Transcarpathian region, while checking a car "Chevrolet Aveo" found 1 citizen of Georgia (1 man) with a permanent residence in Ukraine and 2 citizens of Ukraine.
During the thorough examination of the permanent residence card of the citizen of Georgia, the border guards had doubts about its validity.
To check the validity of the card and to conduct filtration and verification measures, these people were taken to the border guard detachment office.
In the course of filtration and verification measures, it was found out that the two citizens of Ukraine had been brought to criminal responsibility under Art. 185 of the Criminal Code (theft) and had been released from serving sentence 4 months ago, and the citizen of Georgia was also in the general wanted list under Art. 185 of the Criminal Code (theft).
As a result of filtration measures, the citizens were detained and the MIA Office was informed according to the established procedure.
The operational-investigative group of the MIA of Ukraine was sent for escorting the persons to the city of Kyiv.
Recall that officers of the Mukachevo border guard detachment, in close cooperation with units of the MIA, SSU, SFS, border guard agencies of Hungary and Romania, are carrying out the activities of the joint operation "Frontier-2015".
