Instead of an English lesson, a lecture by Serhiy Lysenko, the Deputy Chief of the State Protection Service Department at the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Office in Transcarpathian region. This is how the Safety Week started in Transcarpathia. Although, it will last a few weeks in the region.
In Uzhgorod specialized school №3, representatives of the Department of the State Protection Service conducted the first open lesson in this academic year. They told about the correct behaviour in life- and health-threatening situations. In addition to the lecture, students were shown a short video about the work and duties of the Department of the State Protection Service of Ukraine. In addition to the theoretical part, they were shown how policemen perform their duties in practice – for example, detention of a criminal who stole a bag. After what they saw, children said: now they know for sure they are guarded and protected!
Besides Uzhgorod schools, next week, representatives of the State Protection Service Department at the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Office in Transcarpathian region plan to hold similar events in other cities of the region.
