Unauthorized interference can lead to accident

October 1, employees of the emergency dispatch service of the "Zakarpathaz" PJSC localized an emergency situation that occurred at Sobranetska street, 158, in the regional center.

The new owner land Volodymyr H., without studying the layout of utility lines under it, decided to level a mound on this territory. But he got so engrossed in work that he completely ripped a 63 mm medium pressure plastic input pipeline laid from the old boiler room to the newly constructed one that heats the ambulance station.

Fortunately, there were no tragic consequences, which in these circumstances could have been not only some minor troubles and financial costs of liquidation of the emergency situation consequences, but even explosions with numerous victims.

The "Zakarpathaz" PJSC once again calls on city residents, both natural and legal persons: before starting any construction, performing any excavation works, be sure to contact the specialists of the "Zakarpathaz" PJSC to obtain necessary consultations about gas supply infrastructure in the area. Unauthorized interference in gas networks can lead to emergency.

According to preliminary information, the liquidation of consequences of the emergency situation caused by Volodymyr G will cost the perpetrator almost 18 thousand hryvnia.

Note: Since the beginning of this year, 11 accidents have already occurred on gas pipelines of different diameters and pressures in the region, while for the entire 2014, there were 12.
